Judith Pinkerton is a licensed, board-certified music therapist helping therapists and individuals reset their nervous systems using music—quickly, practically, and in real time. Creator of the Music4Life® Music Medicine Protocol, developed over 30 years and used with more than 60,000 people, her work has been recognized with the Academy of Country Music’s “Lifting Lives” Honor.
Her approach moves beyond passive listening. Judith teaches structured, evidence-based music therapy strategies that help regulate emotional states, prevent overwhelm, and restore clarity—especially when you’re supporting others and have little time to recover between demands. These tools are simple, portable, and designed to work in minutes using music you already connect with, then introducing supportive options to shift your state.
Through certification trainings, workshops, and speaking engagements, Judith equips professionals with skills to support:
• Emotion regulation and resilience
• Anxiety, anger, and grief recovery
• Nervous system reset between sessions
• Sustainable, burnout-resistant practice
Her presentations blend live violin, clinical insight, and practical application—creating experiences that are both engaging and immediately useful.
At the core of Judith’s work is a deeper mission: to shift how we use and relate to music in daily life. By transforming music from background noise into a deliberate tool for wellbeing, she is helping change the culture of emotional care—giving people accessible ways to feel grounded, steady, and in control again.
"Judith Pinkerton is a gifted musician with a keen insight and intuition that maps a particular song to an individual's psychological profile and psychological need. No two maps are the same. I am prompted to take a much more thoughtful and intentional look at the music that I listen to, and to become more open to the impact that that music can have on me, and by that bring a greater level of psychological healing, awareness and compassion. Judith is an edge walker and a pioneer in this area of music therapy."
